We are excited to introduce four new tutors joining our team: Chakara, Tiffani, Josh, and Catherine. Each brings a wealth of knowledge, a passion for teaching, and a unique set of skills that will greatly benefit our students.
ChaKara
ChaKara is a dedicated middle school math teacher and a competitive cheer coach. She holds degrees from Dalton State College and Kennesaw State University, and she has certifications in middle grades math, ESOL, and gifted education. ChaKara loves working with children, from kindergarten to 10th grade, helping them tackle their math challenges. She believes in the importance of creativity in problem-solving and often tells her students, “There is more than one way to solve a math problem.” Outside the classroom, ChaKara’s role as a competitive cheer coach allows her to blend her enthusiasm for athletics with her teaching skills.
Tiffani
Tiffani brings her passion for math and extensive teaching experience to our team. She graduated from the University of West Georgia and earned her graduate degree from Texas A&M University. Tiffani teaches middle school math and enjoys all levels of math as well as Chemistry. Known for her pleasant personality and ability to connect with students, Tiffani makes math enjoyable and accessible. In her free time, she loves trying new restaurants with friends and family and working on DIY projects for her home and classroom.
Josh
Josh is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia (UGA) with a degree in social studies education. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at UGA. Josh can help students with social studies, English Language Arts (ELA), and history classes, including AP courses. He believes that “student success is achieved with effort inside and outside of the classroom.” In his spare time, Josh enjoys hiking, reading, and playing board games. His diverse interests and commitment to education make him a valuable tutor who aims to build students’ confidence in reading, writing, analysis, and critical thinking.
Catherine
Catherine is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she majored in Chemistry with a concentration in education. She is available to help with all levels of Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics, including AP courses, as well as math subjects like Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Precalculus. Inspired by her favorite chemist, Madame Curie, Catherine believes, “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.” In her free time, Catherine enjoys reading, playing video games, and painting. Her wide range of interests and dedication to teaching make her an engaging and effective tutor.
