College-Level Tutoring – Frequently Asked Questions

What subjects do you offer college tutoring in?

We offer college-level tutoring in a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Math (College Algebra, Calculus, Statistics)
  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
  • Writing and English
  • And more

If your student has a specific course, just ask—we’ll match them with a tutor who has experience in that exact subject. Meet our talented tutors!

Do your tutors actually understand college-level material?

Yes—this is one of our biggest differentiators.

Our tutors are real teachers and subject-matter experts, not just students who did well in the class. That means they can break down complex concepts, teach problem-solving strategies, and help students truly understand the material (not just get through homework).

Can you help with specific classes or professors?

Absolutely. We tailor sessions to your student’s syllabus, their professor’s teaching style and upcoming exams or assignments

We use their actual class materials—not a generic curriculum—so every session is immediately relevant.

Do you help with homework, or just teach concepts?

Both. We help students work through homework step-by-step, prepare for quizzes and exams, and learn how to approach similar problems. independently

The goal isn’t just finishing assignments—it’s building confidence and understanding.

How often should college students meet with a tutor?

It depends on the class and the student, but most college students meet once or twice per week with their tutor for ongoing support. Some students also add extra sessions before major exams.

Do you offer last-minute or test prep help?

Yes—and we’re really good at it. If your student is struggling before a big exam, behind in a class or trying to recover their grade, we can jump in quickly and focus on the highest-impact material. You can even schedule sessions with as little as 12 hours lead time through our website! Need something even sooner? Just call our office.

Is this tutoring in-person or online?

We offer both in-person at our East Cobb location an online sessions for flexibility. Many college students prefer online sessions due to their schedules and geographic location.

Will my student work with the same tutor every time?

If you schedule a recurring appointment, your student will work with the same tutor every time. Consistency is a big part of what makes our tutoring effective and we recommend recurring appointments so that your student will work with the same tutor, build a relationship and avoid having to “start over” each session.

Do you require contracts?

No.

We keep things simple:

  • No long-term contracts
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Pay-as-you-go options

This allows families to get help when they need it—without being locked in.

How is college tutoring different from high school tutoring?

College tutoring is more focused on:

  • Advanced concepts
  • Faster-paced courses
  • Independent learning skills

We help students adjust to the increased expectations and stay on top of their workload.
