Math

ChaKara is a dedicated middle school math teacher and a passionate competitive cheer coach. She holds degrees from both Dalton State College and Kennesaw State University, reflecting her commitment to learning. ChaKara is certified to teach middle grades math and has also earned endorsements in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and gifted education, which equips her with the skills to help students with diverse needs.

With a deep love for working with children, ChaKara is happy to tutor our youngest math students. From kindergarten to Algebra, ChaKara helps kids overcome their math challenges. She believes in fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel empowered to explore different problem-solving strategies. ChaKara often tells her students, “There is more than one way to solve a math problem,” emphasizing the importance of creativity and critical thinking in mathematics.

Outside the classroom, ChaKara’s role as a competitive cheer coach allows her to blend her enthusiasm for athletics with her teaching skills, helping students build both physical agility and team spirit. Her multifaceted expertise and nurturing approach make her a valuable asset to East Cobb Tutoring Center.
